  • Chesapeake Controls is seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for the day-day operations of the warehouse including shipping and receiving, inventory and purchasing equipment. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

    Job Duties include:

    Read purchase orders and ensure we are receiving the proper materials and equipment.

    Ability to do cycle counting and pull orders, manage inventory stock

    Receiving product for same-day delivery, staging orders for next day's installs

    Maintain stock of all service-related products and re-supply service technician’s vehicles

    Keep the warehouse neat, clean, and organized

    Assist with maintaining the records for the install fleet

    Keep fenced-in grounds clean and free from nails and debris.

    Run parts from the warehouse or local vendor to job site in a company vehicle

    Minimum Qualifications include

    1-2 years warehouse experience

    High school degree

    Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Excellent customer service

    Familiar with the geographical area

    Able to lift 75 lbs.

  • Chesapeake Controls, is seeking an experienced HVAC Building Automation Controls Technician – Engineer to manage our customers in Alexandria, Virginia, and the surrounding Northern Virginia area. This position is responsible for performing high-level integration and inspection of HVAC Control Systems after installation and before customer acceptance, to ensure the results meet or exceed the project requirements.

    Primary Duties HVAC Building Automation Controls Technician - Engineer:

    Troubleshoot systems, components and devices and diagnose defects

    Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals and/or a laptop computer.

    Perform point to point check out on HVAC equipment (i.e. chiller plant, boilers, air handlers, VAV’s, VFD’s, roof top units,

    Perform integration with multiple manufacturers such as, AAON, Daikin, Fulton, Trane

    Perform on site programming/diagnostics on HVAC equipment using Tridium work bench

    Performs site specific training for owner/operator on the installed mechanical systems.

    Assists with turnover to service providers.

    Determine corrective action and repairs required

    Work from floor plans, blueprints, specifications, and schematics

    Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight stays. (20 %)

    Minimum qualifications include:

    High School Degree or HVAC License

    1-3 years of experience with HVAC Service and/or Direct Digital Controls (DDC)

    Working knowledge to include:

    Schematics, construction drawings (and specifications),

    HVAC / mechanical, and control device installation and operating sequences,

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing refrigeration equipment ( walk-in boxes/reach-in equipment), and HVAC preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of commercial equipment.

    Job Duties include:

    Interact with customers and respond to service calls

    Install, connect & adjust controllers, components and devices using hand tools

    Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on systems, components, and devices

    Troubleshoot systems, components and devices and diagnose defects

    Determine corrective action and repairs required

    Replace parts that are defective / non-repairable

    Generate work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction

    Maintain test equipment and tools

    Complete and submit daily reports

    Complete and submit written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity

    Provide oral / written reports, as required-specific activities, projects, agreements

    Record faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders

    Submit job documentation, such as O&M, Device Addresses, certificate of completion, customer training form, training certificates and punch lists

    Respond to 24/7 to service calls

    Minimum Qualifications include

    High school degree

    1-3 years’ prior experience working in Commercial Refrigeration HVAC

    Prior experience in the startup and charging of heating/air conditioning,

    Able to read and comprehend standard design symbols common to industry.

    Knowledgeable with Industry safety requirements
